Job description
1. Benefits Administration
- Manage and administer the employee benefit program from onboarding to exit.
- Actively collaborate with relevant stakeholders and facilitate employees’ access to their benefits by helping solve and plan changes
- Present on benefits and relevant processes/choices or as required
- Perform cost and data analysis to formulate logical benefit plans and conclusions
- Perform required checks on all work of the Administrator, and track submissions as required.
2. Customer Service
· Ensure that all clients are handled in a professional manner with accurate information about the Payroll and Benefits.
· Ensure proper client communication skills are always maintained
· Ensure that customer complaints are handled timeously.
· Ensure that clients’ requirements are identified and acted on with adequate solutions.
· Ensure timeous completion of all correspondence to clients.
4. Reconciliations/Reporting
· Monthly reconciliation of Medical Aid/Pension Fund/Group Life.
· Reconciliation of monthly PAYE deductions.
· Reconciliation of PAYE deductions annually.
· Reconciliation of housing instalments deducted from staff
5. Research & Projects
· Conduct market research on benefits for benchmarking purposes. Make recommendations to Manager and implement upon approval.
· Put in relevant controls to achieve continuous improvement, integrating innovative technology.
· Continuously update knowledge of current and emerging trends, best practices and legal requirement
6. Employee Wellness
- Implement wellness initiatives and source the most appropriate providers to create and offer wellness activities within budget
- Plan, implement and facilitate activities and projects related to workforce wellness, health awareness, educational campaigns, etc.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human resource management / Business Management or equivalent
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience specifically in payroll and benefits administration and a minimum of 2 years’ experience at
- Supervisory Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, and systems
